The focus of my practice utilizes durational performance and video. Through durational performance process and physical repetition, my body enters a state of meditation, opening up passages for examining disguise, narration, and private spaces. In my work, I use repetition to create an immersive experience through physical movements and recognizable gestures.
My process tends to involve transforming high femme objects and other consumer materials, such as wigs and lipstick, into sculptural performance remnants. These gestures emerge from reflections on gender, intimacy, emotional trauma, and feelings experienced performing habitual tasks.
