The focus of my practice utilizes durational performance and video. Through durational performance practice and physical repetition, I enter a rhythmically cognitive state, opening up passages for examining disguise, constructed narration, and secret spaces. In my work, I define repetition as repeating an established physical movement or movements over and over again.
During the live durational process I use high femme products such as wigs and lipstick to intimately transform the consumer material into sculpture and performance remnants. These live gestures emerge from reflecting on childhood memories and moments in transitional spaces.
