With the practice of improvisation, I use live electronics, looping, and the viola to create immersive layered sound landscapes that take the listener on a contemplative and/or meditative journey. I use my intuition to pull from the viola sounds that go beyond its traditional use. Using extended techniques, I focus on emphasizing harmonics, subtle quiet tones, percussive elements of the wood, and singing into the body of the instrument. My practice is informed by sounds of nature, transitional states of being, my meditation practice, and sound healing. I perform sound healing meditations for large groups that encourage the listener to descend into a state of awareness until they find themselves anew, time and time again. Every vibration that is created supports all those who are willing to listen and receive.

Sound practice is an energy exchange. I am a bridge that brings the message of spirit through sound. Listening and receiving sacred sounds marks the start of one’s journey of self discovery and peace. My intention is to share my lifelong connection to music and to promote well-being and inner trust.
